This course offers the basics of either welding or machine shop (your choice). Welders receive training using gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, manual/automated plasma arc cutting and oxy-fuel cutting. Machinists receive training on engine lathes, vertical mills and surface grinders. Individual projects are encouraged as the basic method of instruction. Fee includes cost of basic materials; additional charges for custom metal art projects. (8 sessions)
