    Are you interested in becoming a teacher? This introductory course is is an overview of the teaching profession. Students will learn and have the opportunity to identify and work with various teaching styles, strategies, classroom management techniques, and technology resources. Students will also be able to explore teacher employment trends and college teacher education programs.

    This course is an orientation to the teaching profession. The program is intended to help clarify decisions about education as a career choice. During class, students have opportunities to observe teaching and learning, are introduced to the requirements for teacher preparation and certification, and use skills learned in class to develop and deliver lessons and examine characteristics of effective teaching.
